1852年,E. M. Sheldon在《密西根農夫》(Michigan Farmer)上發表了一篇有關奶油蘇打的配方,其中就提到要將水、酒石酸氫鉀硫酸鎂、糖、雞蛋和牛奶混合,然後加熱,冷卻後再與水和四分之一茶匙碳酸氫鈉混合[1]
