蘿倫·柯漢出生於1982年新澤西州的切裏希爾，父親是美國人，母親是蘇格蘭人，她的童年移居英國前期間居住在切裏希爾。勞倫畢業於溫徹斯特/阿爾弗雷德國王學院大學，主修戲劇和英國文學，與劇團共同創辦的大學巡迴演出之前。勞倫時間和工作都在倫敦和洛杉磯之間，工作在多部電影以及一些非商業項目。[1]
