阿拉斯泰尔·罗宾逊博士(Dr. Alastair Robinson,1980年—)为专业从事猪笼草属等植物研究的英国-美国分类学家和植物学家。他发表了第一个关于猪笼草起源的古地理学证据。[1][2]
2007年,阿拉斯泰尔·罗宾逊与其他学者以前发现了巴拉望岛上的巨型猪笼草——爱登堡猪笼草(Nepenthes attenboroughii),他也是其正式描述的作者。爱登堡猪笼草是继1858年发现马来王猪笼草(Nepenthes rajah)后,所发现的最大型的猪笼草。[1][3][4][5]
2013年,一种菲律宾苏拉威西岛特有的兜兰以其名称而被命名为“Paphiopedilum robinsonianum”。[6][7]
阿拉斯泰尔·罗宾逊在伦敦大学学院取得了学士学位,又以关于植物时空细胞发育的分子调控机制的研究在剑桥大学取得了博士学位。他在欧洲南部、坦桑尼亚、婆罗洲和菲律宾专长从事豹皮花(夹竹桃科)、陆生兰花、生态学和保育生物学的研究。[3]
他是2009年关于猪笼草及土瓶草的著作——《旧大陆的猪笼草》的主要编者。[3]此外,他也参与了2011年《新猪笼草:卷一》中南半岛及新几内亚部分的创作。[8]
