镫骨是中耳三块听小骨中的最后一块,以环形韧带和卵圆窗相连。它状似马镫,足板(即底部)座落于卵圆窗,头部和砧骨形成关节,头部和足板间以前脚和后脚连结[1]:862。镫骨和砧骨间则为砧骨镫骨关节(英语:incudostapedial joint)[2]。镫骨是人体最小的骨头,大小约3 x 2.5毫米,头部到足板的轴较长[3]。
