计算员（英语：Computer或human computer）是电子计算机发明以前，专门从事数学计算工作的人员，他们通常要分组进行冗长的计算。这项工作起源于17到18世纪的天文学计算。在二次大战期间，许多女性成为计算员，参与了包括曼哈顿计划在内的许多计算工作，这些计算员有许多后来从事早期计算机科学的发展。
