纵火狂是一种有关控制冲动的障碍，其中患者反复无法抵抗故意纵火，以缓解紧张或获得满足[1]。纵火狂不等同于纵火行为，纵火狂并不是为了经济或政治利益，而且对与火有相联的物件，例如消防局和消防员，表现出极端的行为。纵使精神病学上有所谓纵火狂的病，但实际临床上纯粹的纵火狂并不常见，反而相对纵火狂而言，因反社会人格作出纵火行为更有可能。
