南安普敦索伦特大学

南安普敦索伦特大学（英语：Southampton Solent University）是一所位于英国汉普郡南安普顿的公立大学。该名称曾在2005至2018年间使用。2017年11月英国枢密院批准其改称索伦特大学（英语：Solent University），次年生效。[2]直到2024年又改回2005年时的名称，即现称。

历史
大学历史可追溯到1850年代中期在南安普顿成立的私立艺术学院南安普顿艺术学院（Southampton College of Art），.后来与南安普顿科技学院（Southampton College of Technology）以及瓦萨希的航海学学院（College of Nautical Studies）合并，1984年形成南安普顿高等教育学院（Southampton Institute of Higher Education）。
2005年7月12日获得大学资格，同年8月15日改现名。[3][4][4][5] 在2005年之前，南安普顿高等教育学院的学生的学位由诺丁汉特伦特大学颁发。
学术
虽然已经获得大学资格，该大学的研究型学位仍然由诺丁汉特伦特大学颁发。[10]
