W Window 系统（物视窗系统）是一种图形的视窗系统。
W原本是由Paul Asente和Brian Reid于斯坦福大学所发展的，且原本运行于酉操作系统。在1983年，Paul Asente和Chris Kent把系统移植到VS100的Unix上，给了一份拷贝给MIT的电脑科学实验室。
于1984年，麻省理工学院的鲍伯·斯凯夫勒把W的同步协议换成异步的，并且命名为X。
