马来语群

马来语群是南岛语系马来-波利尼西亚语族下的一支,包含马来西亚、印度尼西亚和文莱的官方语言马来语,西苏门答腊省的米南佳保语,西婆罗洲的伊班语。[1]
马来语群的起源地在西婆罗洲,现今伊班语所在的地方。然后马来语群的分支可能来自苏门答腊中部但也可能来自婆罗洲。[2]
以前曾对达雅族的各种达雅语定位出现混乱,有些现在认为属于马来语群有些则不是。属于马来的达雅语包括伊班语,这类伊班有时指整个Sea Dayak人,有时则指其中的一小部分。其他达雅语言统称Land Dayak语,分布于加里曼丹的西北部,夹于伊班和马来中间。[1]
语言
尽管班查语有六百万的使用者,但通常被认为属于“马来族语言”[3],一份2008年的分析报告南岛语系基础词汇数据库[4]指出不能证实Banjar语属于马来语群。这份研究指出Banjar语只有80%的可能比起其他马来-波利尼西亚语族,与马来族语言或伊班语亲近。研究表明,很明显与马来语群的语言不同。
有时,有些伊班语言也被单独列入马来语群。
