超消色差或超消色差透镜是马克西米利安·赫茨贝格尔最先构想和发展出来的终极高修正镜头。超消色差透镜的色偏移曲线是四次方程,意味着在理论尚能将4种单独的色光集中在同一平面上,并同时修正球面像差和像场差。这种近乎完美的色差修正对影片和数位多光谱摄影是非常有帮助的。超消色差透镜可以将波长0.7至1.0微米的近红外线和可见光汇聚在相同的焦平面上,而不需要一再的调整焦点。不幸的是,由于对光学玻璃和色散的选择有限,超消色透镜必须使用宽容度很小且很昂贵的氟玻璃制造。
