义学，俗称义塾，清朝义学之设，系根据康熙四十一年（1702年），“定义学小学之制”，及康熙五十一年（1713年），“令各省府州县多立义学，聚集孤寒，延师教读”之规定而办理。

义学之创立，由所在地官民义捐创立，或由官府创建，或单殊属个人私设；学生年龄多为六岁至十一岁，学习读书识字，为地方的基础教育。
