伟鳄兽科

伟鳄兽科（（学名：Titanosuchidae），属于兽孔目恐头兽亚目的貘头兽下目，是一科肉食性或杂食性（可能也有草食性）动物。如同其他貘头兽类，伟鳄兽科动物有厚头颅骨，可能用来互相以头撞击。牠们出现在二叠纪中期。牠们有大型犬齿，牠们的门齿非常强壮。伟鳄兽科与其他恐头兽类是近亲，例如麝足兽等貘头兽科。最著名的伟鳄兽科动物包括：姜氏兽与伟鳄兽。如同其他恐头兽类，牠们在二叠纪-三叠纪灭绝事件中灭绝了。
