模拟软件，借由编程语言依照模拟学的方法论所建立出来的软件，称之为模拟软件，此类的工具包含了各种应用领域，通常用来作为系统的分析，预测，推导，展示等应用。而其方法论包含了系统动态分析模拟，离散事件模拟以及代理人模拟。另外CAD(电脑辅助制图/设计)也算是一种模拟工具，借由图学算法来产生三维的物件，再用来展示想法及施工之问题发掘等应用。
