丙型疱疹病毒亚科（学名：Gammaherpesvirinae）是疱疹病毒科的一个亚科，可分为七个属，包含约40种感染人类与其他哺乳动物的病毒，感染人类者有造成传染性单核白血球增多症的EB病毒以及造成卡波西氏肉瘤的人类疱疹病毒八型。本亚科病毒与其他疱疹病毒一样为具有包膜的双股DNA病毒，包膜上有许多糖蛋白可与宿主细胞表面的受体结合造成感染；病毒颗粒为正二十面体，直径约150至200奈米，基因组为不分段的线性DNA，长约18万bp[1][2]。
