Sea Education Association

News和伍茲霍爾海洋研究所）所從事的阿嘉里塔海洋基金會/5 Gyres亞太行動於2012年5月1日開始在馬紹爾群島收集樣本。海洋教育協會（英语：Sea Education Association）(SEA) 於2012年在環流中進行研究考察，共進行118次網拖，採得近70,000件塑料。
