Dynabook是由美国计算机科学家艾伦·凯在1968年提出的一个为儿童而设计的计算机概念产品,其功能类似于今天的笔记本电脑与平板电脑,在1968年被提出时最初的名字是KiddiComp,后来在艾伦·凯供职于施乐帕洛阿尔托研究中心时被其于介绍这款产品的说明《一款适合各年龄儿童的个人电脑》中改名“Dynabook”,意为“动力笔记本”,拟定价格为500美元以下,具有极佳的便携性,重量不超四磅,以使“一个孩子无论躲到哪里都能把它带在身上”,并使用友好的编程语言[1][2]。
Dynabook推动了图形用户界面的发展,艾伦·凯与他的同事为制造Dynabook所提出的过渡性项目“Xerox Alto”最终成为世界上第一台带有图形操作系统的计算机[3]。
