陶土，又称陶泥，是烧制陶瓷器的原料，即用于烧制陶器、炻器和瓷器的高岭土[1]。颜色不纯，为黄褐色、灰白色、红紫色等色混杂而成。含有铁质，具吸水性和吸附性，加水后具可塑性。矿物成分复杂，主要由高岭石、水白云母、蒙脱石、石英和长石组成。颗粒大小不一致，常含砂粒、粉砂和粘土等物质。
