岡武史(おか たけし、1932年6月10日—)是一位日本裔美國籍光譜學家、天文學家,專門研究銀河系天文學領域,為天體化學先驅和星際三氫陽離子的共同發現者[3][4]。
生涯發展
岡武史出生於日本東京,1955年畢業於東京大學,1960年獲東京大學理學博士學位[6],也是霜田光一實驗室成員[7]。
1963年,岡武史在加拿大國家研究院格哈德·赫茨貝格實驗室擔任博士後研究員。
1960年至1963年,岡武史擔任日本學術振興會會員。隨後他在赫茨貝格天文物理研究所(1963年-1981年)和芝加哥大學(1981年-)進行研究。
1980年,岡武史發現星際三氫陽離子的紅外光譜,揭示了「分子雲」是恆星的搖籃,分子雲的化學變化是恆星形成過程中極為重要的階段。
