PPPoA是非同步傳輸模式上的對等協定（Point-to-Point Protocol over Asynchronous Transfer Mode）的簡稱，是OSI模型中資料鏈結層的協定，常用來透過電話線連結家用的寬頻Modem和網絡服務供應商（ISP）。
PPPoA常用在有線電纜數據服務介面規範（DOCSIS）及DSL營運者中，將PPP的幀封裝在AAL5中。PPPoA有標準的PPP功能，例如身份驗證、加密及數據壓縮。若是在一個以非同步傳輸模式為基礎的網絡中用PPPoA作為連結加密的方式，相較於PPPoE，PPPoA可以略為減輕overhead（0.58%）。PPPoA也避免了PPPoE常遇到的一個問題，就是其最大傳輸單元比標準乙太網路傳輸協定要少的問題。PPPoA也提供以下的加密方式：VC-MUX及邏輯鏈路控制。
