永和四年（348年）十二月，黃韜自稱孝神皇帝，以臨川人李高為相，聚眾數百人，乘犢車，穿皁袍，攻打郡縣。聚眾達到數千，攻打臨川郡，臨川太守庾條（庾亮之弟）將黃韜討平。
