生平
陳衛出生於上海，1984年畢業於上海市南洋模範中學，1988年畢業於上海交通大學機械工程系。此後赴美國留學，1995年獲佐治亞理工學院博士學位。2003年起任教於美國西北大學機械工程系。她是Wilson-Cook工程設計首席教授、集成設計自動化實驗室（Integrated DEsign Automation Laboratory）主任。[1][2]2020年起出任機械工程系系主任。[3]
陳衛是美國航空航天學會（AIAA）副會士（2003年）、美國機械工程師學會（ASME）會士（2009年）、美國國家工程院院士（2019年）。此外，她還是《機械設計期刊》（Journal of Mechanical Design）主編、國際結構和多學科優化學會主席。[1][2][4]
