苗族古歌是黔東南苗族聚居區對苗族神話與遷徙史詩歌聯唱形式的通稱。共12首，分為四個部分：開天闢地歌、楓木歌、洪水滔天歌、跋山涉水歌。總長達一萬五千餘行，其中有名有姓的人物就有一百多位。苗族古歌是研究苗族歷史、風俗的寶貴史料。[1]
