• 5月1日：胡安·德·格里哈爾瓦到達墨西哥地區的塔巴斯科州 ^[1]。
• 馬丁·費爾南德斯·德恩西索（英語：Martín Fernández de Enciso）在卡斯蒂利亞王權出版Suma de Geographie，對新大陸進行了描述。

數學

• 亨利·格拉瑪特斯（英語：Henricus Grammateus）在維也納出版Ayn neu Kunstlich Buech，在計算上最先使用印刷的加號與減號^[2]他也出版Libellus de compositione regularum pro vasorum mensuratione. Deque arte ista tota theoreticae et practicae，發明新律學^[3]。
• 亞當·里斯出版Rechnung auff der linihen，講述如何使用計算板（一種二維算盤）來計算^[1]。
