生平
1969年參加中國人民解放軍，1985年，擔任濟南軍區政治部政工研究處處長；1995年後任長島守備師政委、濟南軍區政治部秘書長。1997年10月起，歷任陸軍第二十集團軍政治部主任、政委。2005年12月，任北京軍區副政委[1]。
1998年晉升為少將軍銜。2007年7月晉升為中將軍銜，2013年3月任第十二屆全國人民代表大會外事委員會委員[2]。
