生平
早年擔任中國工農紅軍紅二十六軍經理處處長等。1939年，任中共右山懷縣委書記、朔縣縣委書記，後改任晉察冀邊區五地委書記兼軍分區政委。
1954年，任中共中央農村工作部副秘書長、國務院農村辦公室副主任等[1]。1960年，任中共中央西北局委員。1977年，任陝西省革委會副主任。
1978年，擔任中共甘肅省委書記。1979年，兼任甘肅省人大常委會副主任。1981年，任中共甘肅省委書記、甘肅省人民政府省長[2]。1983年，擔任第六屆甘肅省人大常委會主任。1987年，任中顧委委員[3]。
