生平
1944年，李舉卿參加革命工作。1949年，調至蘇南地區，任中共溧陽縣委副科長、青年團縣委副書記、縣武裝部副政委，新兵營教導員。1952年，赴青年團中央團校、北京俄語學院學習。1957年，調入外交部工作，在駐芬蘭大使館、外交部第二亞洲司、駐波蘭大使館任職。1971年11月，出任中華人民共和國駐革但斯克總領事[1]。1978年，任中國政府接僑工作組臨時黨委副書記、外交部新聞司副司長。1983年11月，出任中華人民共和國駐蒙古大使。1989年6月，離任回國[2]。同年任中國老撾邊界談判中國政府代表團副團長。[3]
