寄宿學校(英語:Boarding school)是種學生(可能還有教師)共同住在校舍內學習的學校體制。英聯邦國家的許多公學都是寄宿學校,學生在寄宿學校的時間從1年到12年,或者更久。寄宿學校的學生可能只會在假期回家,在跟監護人分開的情況下度過童年、青春期。在美國,寄宿學校通常為7到12年級,主要為中學階段。大部分寄宿學校也有通勤生(day students),他們通常是該社區的居民或教職員工的孩子。某些美國的寄宿學校是為了進行軍事訓練。[1]
