主要工作

GNOME基金會致力於達成GNOME專案的目標：即建立一個基於自由著作權協定的電腦平台。

組織

GNOME基金會2008年至2010年的執行董事為Stormy Peters（英語：Stormy Peters）。^[3][4] 2011年6月凱倫·桑德勒上任執行董事，^[5]並任職至2014年3月。^[6] 該職位一直空缺，直到2017年2月，前Debian領導者Neil McGovern上任。^[7]2022年2月，Neil McGovern辭去GNOME基金會執行董事的職務。^[8][9][10]

截至2021年，GNOME基金會的諮詢委員會成員有Canonical公司、Debian、Endless Computers（英語：Endless Computers）、Google、紅帽公司、Sugar Labs、SUSE、檔案基金會和System76。^[11]
