南朝齊建武三年（496年）置齊通左郡，屬益州。治所即今四川省眉山市。齊通左郡為僚族聚居地，轄境相當今四川省眉山市、丹稜縣等地。南朝梁齊通左郡改為齊通郡，治所在齊通縣。
