歷史
馬尾港在福州閩江下游，古代從海路進入福州均經過此地。1866年（清同治五年），左宗棠在馬尾創辦了福建船政，開辦建船廠。[1]晚清中法戰爭的馬江海戰即發生於此。民國時在馬尾港設立閩口要港司令部、馬尾要港司令部等軍事機構。現作為商港和海軍錨地。
