生平
1968年2月，王國生參加中國人民解放軍。歷任中國人民解放軍第64集團軍第190師團長、副師長、師長。1996年7月至1998年8月，任中國人民解放軍第64集團軍參謀長、集團軍黨委常委。1998年8月至2001年12月，任中國人民解放軍第40集團軍副軍長、集團軍黨委常委。2001年12月至2003年12月，任中國人民解放軍第40集團軍軍長、集團軍黨委副書記。2003年12月至2007年6月，任中國人民解放軍蘭州軍區參謀長、蘭州軍區黨委常委。2005年7月，晉升中將軍銜。2007年6月，出任中國人民解放軍蘭州軍區司令員、蘭州軍區黨委副書記。2010年7月，晉升為上將軍銜。[1][2]2012年10月，屆齡退役，由劉粵軍接任蘭州軍區司令員[3]。
