分類
樹熊猴共有三個已知亞種：
- Perodicticus potto potto
- Perodicticus potto edwardsi
- Perodicticus potto ibeanus
特徵
樹熊猴的體長為30-40厘米，尾長3-10厘米，最重可達1.5公斤。毛髮捲曲，灰褐色。
習性
樹熊猴棲息於熱帶非洲的雨林中，從幾內亞到肯雅、烏干達都有分佈。樹熊猴是夜行動物，樹棲，行動遲緩，白天在樹葉叢中睡覺，幾乎不到地面上活動。食性為65%水果，21%樹汁和10%的昆蟲，偶爾也捕捉蝙蝠和小鳥。
繁殖
孕期為170天，通常一胎為一仔，有時也有兩仔。斷奶期為五個月，18個月性成熟。圈養條件下平均壽命可達26年。
