櫻庭統（1965年8月5日—），日本作曲家，主要為電子遊戲、動畫系列、電視劇作曲，亦有獨立的前衛搖滾作品[1]。

傳記
櫻庭統出生於日本秋田縣，他和櫻庭裕子結婚並生一女櫻庭宇。櫻庭統以作曲家和前衛既視感搖滾樂隊鍵盤手的身份闖進樂壇，並於1988年發佈既視感專輯Baroque in the Future，之後不久樂隊解散，櫻庭於1990年繼續發佈了他的獨立創作專輯《戲曲音創》。在為電子遊戲作曲期間，他大力改編了自己的的音樂作品。隨後的1989年，櫻庭開始擔任日本通訊網絡旗下狼組的主作曲。雖然後來狼組人員大量離職，但在合作期間櫻庭充分的展現的自己的創作才能。參見以下：
- 1994年，前狼組主任及作曲家宇野雅明擔任Camelot的協調員和音響監督，並為索尼、世嘉以及任天堂開發遊戲。櫻庭統為Camelot的多款遊戲（諸如馬里奧高爾夫和黃金太陽系列）作曲。
- 1995年，狼組為南夢宮開發了一款具有里程碑意義的遊戲——《幻想傳奇》。本作和傳奇系列的其他作品都由櫻庭統和狼組的真嗣田村負責作曲。（《遺跡傳奇》例外，由椎名豪作曲）最終餘下的狼組成員於2003年併入了南夢宮的傳奇系列的開發團隊。
- 還是1995年，前狼組總監、製作人Jun Asanuma和《幻想傳奇》的編劇兼程式設計師五反田義治組建了由Enix提供資金支援的tri-Ace。櫻庭統為包括《星海遊俠》與《女神侧身像》在內的幾乎所有遊戲創作音樂。（除了岩垂徳行已譜曲的《凡人物語》，但其中也包括了一些櫻庭統精心創作的曲目）。
- 1999年，長期為狼組和tri-Ace進行音樂設計與製作的的成員初芝弘也建立了tri-Crescendo。成立之初的tri-Crescendo是tri-Ace的御用遊戲音樂製作者，後從2001年起進入開發領域。擔任遊戲《霸天開拓史》（南夢宮出版，tri-Crescendo與Monolith Soft合作開發）的總監與主程式師的初芝弘再次邀請櫻庭作曲，之後櫻庭又擔任了續作《霸天開拓史II》及另一款遊戲《信賴鈴音 ~蕭邦之夢~》的作曲工作。
- 2007年，櫻庭被選入電子遊戲音樂作曲人名單並為《任天堂明星大亂鬥X》進行創作。他也改編了前作《任天堂明星大亂鬥DX》知名的選單主旋律，《超級瑪利歐兄弟3》的一些音樂。此外，「戰鬥音樂與BOSS戰音樂」也來自他創作的《黃金太陽 開啟的封印》與《黃金太陽 失落的時代》兩部遊戲。
除上所述，櫻庭統還通過自己的TEAM Entertainment與其他媒體簽約定期合同，該公司成立於1999年，旨在宣傳與授權作品給其他藝術家。
現場演出
2003年7月，櫻庭統在日本東京舉辦了一個現場音樂會。他用前衛的搖滾風格詮釋了PlayStation遊戲《星海遊俠2 Second Evolution》和《女神側身像》。這場音樂會上他與低音結他手長谷川淳（Gerard樂隊成員）、鼓手俊彥中村搭檔組合。需要說的是，這場音樂會被製作到了CD和DVD上；世界各地的櫻庭統迷聽到DVD沒有區域限制的消息後都很高興。
在他們為音樂會排練的同時，長谷川和中村又協助錄製了《星海遊俠 直到時間的盡頭導演剪輯版》。
次年，他們第三人又舉行了另一場音樂會。但演出了《霸天開拓者》的遊戲音樂和幾首非遊戲音樂作品。然而，由於規模較小，這場音樂會未被正式記錄。
2006年，為了慶祝tri-Ace的新作《女神側身像2：希爾梅莉亞》的發佈而又舉辦一場新的音樂會。這場音樂會制被作成了CD發行。
音樂風格
櫻庭統結合了巴洛克風格、80年代的日本前衛搖滾及自己獨特的韻律（蕭笛、合唱、男生混響）。他的風格融入了前衛搖滾，劇場交響樂和新世紀音樂。櫻庭還在他的作品中加入了即興爵士樂要素。近年來，他已經朝更多元化的曲風作出努力。
