簡介
晨光街北起東安門大街，南到東長安街。明朝時，為皇城東牆之下的通道，稱「夾道」。清朝光緒時，稱「東安門外南夾道」。中華民國時，稱「南夾道」。1965年將東河沿併入，定名為「晨光街」。後來，晨光街南端興建了北京貴賓樓飯店，只在飯店底層留有通道，通道上蓋騎樓。晨光街從通道通向東長安街。[1]21世紀初，該通道已不再對外通行，晨光街改為南到霞公府街為止。
