2012年埃及總統選舉

2012年埃及總統選舉於2012年5月23日、5月24日舉行，若第一輪投票中沒有任何一人獲得50%的得票率，則將於同年6月16日與6月17日舉行第二輪投票^[1]。這次選舉是埃及歷史上繼2005年總統選舉後的又一次有多人參與的總統選舉，也是2011年埃及革命後的首次總統選舉。

首輪計票結果顯示，穆斯林兄弟會的候選人穆爾西獲得24.78%的得票率，曾任空軍總長的前總理沙菲克獲得23.66%得票率^[2]，得票最高的這兩人將進入第二輪選舉^[3]。而之前民意很高的前阿盟秘書長阿穆爾·穆薩得票率僅為11.13%，穆斯林兄弟會前成員阿卜杜勒·穆奈姆·阿布福圖得票率為17.47%。

當地時間6月24日16點，埃及最高總統選舉委員會主席蘇爾坦公佈穆爾西以51.73%的支持率擊敗48.24%得票率的沙菲克，當選埃及總統。

選舉規則

2012年1月30日，本次選舉規則正式發佈，其規定候選人必須是埃及出生的埃及公民，其父母也都是埃及公民；不能具有雙重國籍，其配偶不能是外國人；要獲得提名資格須至少得到30名國會議員或3萬個有投票資格的選民支持^[4]。

候選人從3月10日起開始登記報名^[5]，報名截止日期為4月8日下午2點^[6]。

本次選舉共有23人參與報名以競選角逐總統一職^[7]。最終符合資格、參加選舉的候選人是12人^[8][9]。
