在牛津大學, 劍橋大學, 都柏林聖三一大學以及杜倫大學的學院中（也包括倫敦大學; 曼徹斯特大學,多倫多大學等類似的歷史悠久的學校，在香港大學也有類似模仿的形式），高桌，英文：High Table指提供給學院的院士（Senior Common Room成員)以及他們的客人使用的飯桌。這些桌子通常放置在高出地板的台子上，位於正餐大廳的盡頭。在正式場合，高桌上就座的人都穿着燕尾服，當然穿着學術袍也是正常的。
