1983年5月—1985年6月，任廣州軍區副參謀長。1985年6月至1990年4月，少將，任廣州軍區後勤部部長。1990年4月至1992年11月，任蘭州軍區參謀長。1991年，授予中國人民解放軍中將。1992年11月至1994年12月，任成都軍區副司令員[1]。
