洪武十八年（1385年）乙丑科三甲第十六名進士。授龍溪縣丞，後因觀天象談論時政，談及諸位親王，被貶戍邊南寧。建文年間恢復官位，升任龍溪知縣，後升兵部郎中。在與燕王朱棣部隊對戰中赴難而亡[1]。
