生平
薛鳳霄是山西省五台縣上莊村人。1935年11月，加入中國共產黨並參加工作。先後擔任大同市人民委員會市長、中國共產黨雁北地區委員會書記、第十二屆中國共產黨中央紀律檢查委員會委員。
退休後，薛鳳霄享受副省級幹部的住房、醫療待遇，
家庭
長子薛榮哲曾任山西省副省長、省政協副主席。
