生平
1926年畢業於燕京大學哲學系。1926年底參加北伐戰爭，主編《血路》。
1930年參加左聯和社聯的發起工作，並主編《國際》月刊。
1945年參與組織中國民主促進會，並任《民主》周刊編委。
1946年加入中國共產黨。
1949年10月1日後，歷任上海翻譯工作者協會主席、《翻譯》月刊主編、中國作協編審、《世界文學》副主編。1952年加入中國作家協會。
