生平
景泰二年（1451年）進士。官兵科給事中，景泰四年（1453年），請依正統間例會試，景帝允准。累擢右僉都御史，後巡撫延綏，轉調寧夏，仿照延綏巡撫余子俊的做法，築邊牆二百餘里，「自黃沙咀起、至花馬池止，長三百八十七里」。[1]
