生平
1994年9月16日出生於明尼阿波利斯，他住在艾奧瓦州奧爾溫，於奧爾溫公立學校畢業。艾文森亦在威斯康星大學麥迪遜分校和北艾奧瓦大學完成修業。艾文森曾在奧爾溫工具和染料公司任職。1973年至1991年間，他以民主黨身份於艾奧瓦州眾議院擔任議員。[1]1990年，艾文森在艾奧瓦州州長選舉中敗給了特里·布蘭斯塔德。 2017年5月19日，艾文森因心肌梗死於北普拉特大平原醫療中心死亡。終年72歲。[2][3]
