印第安電單車

印地安電單車（英語：Indian Motorcycle）是美國的電單車品牌。它以生產大排量V型雙氣缸發動機的電單車而聞名。印地安電單車公司生產的著名電單車型號有Scouts、Cheif、Chieftan和Roadmaster等。

歷史

印地安電單車公司的前身——亨迪製造公司（英語：Hendee Manufacturing Company）成立於1901年，它是美國的第一家電單車製造公司。1923年起，亨迪製造公司更名為印地安電單車製造廠。1953年公司破產後，雖然歷經數度易手，然而生意卻都未見好轉。2011年公司被北極星工業（英語：Polaris Industries）收購後一直運營至今。^[1]

產品線

2013年8月，北極星公司宣佈發售三種全新的印地安電單車型號，分別是Chief Classic、Chief Vintage以及Chieftain。這三種型號都是在傳統印地安電單車的基礎上設計的。三種型號都搭載了Thunder Stroke V型雙氣缸發動機。這種發動機採用了三凸輪設計，中間的凸輪由鏈條驅動，而前後凸輪則採用齒輪驅動。這樣的設計使得推杆可以平行放置，從而在外觀上更接近老式的印地安電單車發動機的設計。發動機的冷卻方式為風冷，故從外表上可以看到發動機上大尺寸的散熱鰭片，以及嵌在鋁製壓鑄框架中的空氣濾清器盒（英語：airbox）。^[2]無論前後軸距大小以及前叉設計如何，所有配備了Thunder Stroke 111發動機的印地安電單車都有這樣的鋁製框架設計。集成式變速系統亦採用齒輪驅動。
