生平
1919年，畢業於南洋公學電力科，1922年，在美國康乃爾大學獲碩士學位。1923年回國。曾任交通大學、東北大學、北平大學、西北聯大、北洋大學教授。1949年後，歷任北京交通大學、北京大學、清華大學教授及系主任[1]。
1991年10月21日，在北京逝世，享年97歲[2]。
