人體的四種糖蛋白激素（英語：glycoprotein hormones）--人絨毛膜促性腺激素（hCG）、黃體生成素（LH）、促卵泡激素（FSH）和促甲狀腺激素（TSH）都是以同樣的該α亞基和各自不同的β亞基組成的二聚體。^[2]
