中華人民共和國第九屆少數民族傳統體育運動會於2011年9月10日—9月18日在中國貴州貴陽舉行[1]。8月24日進行火炬傳遞儀式[2]。本屆比賽項目有花炮、木球、蹴球、毽球、龍舟、鞦韆、射弩、陀螺、押加、馬術、武術、珍珠球、獨竹漂、高腳競速、板鞋競速和民族式摔跤等，其中獨竹漂是本屆運動會新設項目。主題歌是《手牽着心連着》。
本屆民族運動會取消了競賽和表演項目的金銀銅牌（獎），改設一、二、三等獎。獨竹漂、花炮、民族式摔跤等16個競賽項目共產生129個一等獎，185個表演項目共生產74個一等獎。[3]
