東方沙蚺

東方沙蚺（學名：Eryx tataricus）為蚺科沙蚺屬的爬行動物，又名東方沙蟒、土棍子。分佈於蒙古、伊朗、哈薩克斯坦以及中國大陸的內蒙古、新疆、甘肅、寧夏等地，生活習性為穴居。其常生活于于沙土或黃土、粘土地帶。^[1]

種加名 tataricus 意為「韃靼的」。

2020年，伊朗研究人員將東方沙蚺認定為紅沙蚺（E. miliaris）的次定同物異名。^[2]
