雉縣，古縣名，西漢置。屬南陽郡，雉縣延續五百餘年，至南朝劉宋時始廢。
得名有兩種說法，其一：因境內有「雉衡山」多雉鳥而名；其二：相傳秦文公時，童子化雉止此，後因置雉縣。漢代因之，屬南陽郡。晉朝屬南陽國。大和二年，荊州刺史桓豁攻宛，追擒燕將趙盤於雉縣。後魏復置北雉縣，屬北淯郡。西魏因置雉陽郡。隋初，郡縣全部廢除。
