紐約上訴法院

紐約上訴法院（New York Court of Appeals）是紐約州法院系統中的終審法院。^[1] 法院位於紐約州首府奧爾巴尼，有首席法官1名，法官6名。上訴法院有關紐約州法律的判決是終審，不可繼續上訴；但有關聯邦法律的案件或部分如果被允許，仍然可以上訴到美國最高法院。^[1]

受理案件

紐約州憲法第6條第3款規定了受理案件的範圍：涉及法律問題的案件；死刑判決案件；中間上訴法院（上訴部門）在審理上訴案件時發現了新的事實後根據新事實作出判決的案件。^[2]
