白傑明[1][2]（英語：Geremie R. Barmé）是澳大利亞漢學家，作家和導演，研究現代中國文化歷史，他作為公共知識分子在報紙和雜誌上發表文章，並在發表紀錄片作品，包括《天安門》，描述1989年春天直到六四事件的事情，以及關於文化大革命的《八九點鐘的太陽》。
生平
白傑明在澳大利亞國立大學取得亞洲研究學士學位，主修漢語和梵語，然後在中華人民共和國（1974-77）和日本（1980-83）的大學學習[3]。當他第一次以歷史講師的身份回到澳大利亞時，他的第一批學生之一就是未來的澳大利亞總理陸克文，後者的支持對中華全球研究中心（Australian Centre on China in the World）的建立起到重要作用[4]。他於1991年至2007年擔任《東亞歷史》雜誌的編輯。2011年，他在澳大利亞國立大學舉辦了首屆「China in the World」特邀講座，題為「Australia and China in the World: Whose Literacy?」[5]。
